Rev. Brittany Powell is a certified chaplain educator with ACPE. She is originally from Atlanta, Georgia. Rev. Powell earned a Master of Divinity degree in Psychology of Religion from the Morehouse School of Religion at the Interdenominational Theological Center and received their B.A. degree in Political Science at Spelman College. She is endorsed by the Progressive National Baptist Convention. 

 

Rev. Powell pursued their CPE educational training at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and completed their educational journey at Penn State Health. While in Hershey, Rev. Powell served as the Resource board chair for Alder Health which is a community clinic that serves the LGBTQIA community. Rev. Powell values building relationships through establishing connections while learning to maintain them by honoring differences. Her most recent publication, "Queering CPE in Central Pennsylvania: An Embodied Womanist Approach to Learning" was published in the reflective practice journal of ACPE. 

 

They are always looking forward to connecting with community through their student groups, community events, and any other opportunities for fostering belonging and togetherness. Lastly, She is proud member of Kappa Omicron Sigma chapter which is a graduate chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho!
